MLTC Health & Social Development Department is seeking dynamic, motivated individual to fill the full time, permanent position of Health Program Assistant. The Health Program Assistant is an important component of the MLTC Health & Social Development Program and is expected to assist the team in ensuring effective and efficient operations. Duties require broad and comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s policies, procedures, protocols, and practices. Responsibilities require discretion, judgment, tact, poise, multi-tasking, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, work and communicate with numerous health staff on a daily basis.

**Duties (include but not limited to)**:

- Assist the Health Services Agreement Officer in tasks.
- Assist Relief Nurse Schedule Coordinator with scheduling of Nursing relief in Primary Care and Community Health sites for short-term and temporary assignments
- Coordinate workshops/events hosted by MLTC Health & Social Development Program
- Assist with Health & Social Development “Accreditation Canada” meetings, including preparation of agendas, recording of minutes, and other related documents, followed with distribution & filing.
- Assist with the planning of MLHSDA Board meetings & other Meetings, in the absence of the Health Executive Program Assistant; including preparation of agendas, recording of minutes, and other related documents, followed with distribution & filing
- Providing general office support.
- Other duties as assigned by the Health Executive Program Assistant.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum: _
- Administration diploma with knowledge in the areas of finance or accounting

- Min. of 5 years work experience in office administration

- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment with staff, other MLTC departments, and the nine (9) First Nation communities.
- Strong organizational, planning skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Experience with purchasing & receiving and administrative support.
- Ability to interpret and present financial information.
- Experience with event planning & coordination.
- Experience and/or training in minute note taking.
- Strong working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office & proficient in Excel (creating spreadsheets).
- Informed about Cree/Dene cultural values, customs and beliefs.
- Work with mínimal supervision and ability to prioritize multiple demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail & numeracy accuracy.
