Job Summary:
As an Application Analyst, you have a wide range of skills, from supporting implementation of Rest APIs, CI/CD Pipelines, ISO20022 to the backend processes. Your role also includes coordinating and supporting the day-to-day product delivery needs.
What you'll be doing:
- Handling and solving performance issues
- Analyzing and solving complex issues or, when required, manages the escalation of issues to the Section Manager
- Ensuring all incidents are responded to and resolved following established standards and agreements
- Creating problem tickets based on recurring incidents
- Researching and analyzing problems tickets, perform changes as required, and implements and follows up to ensure problems are resolved
- Designing, modifying, customizing, implementing, and troubleshooting existing software
- Performing considerably complex programming functions
- Coordinating change requests requiring re-configuration or development, liaising with technical teams to ensure completed following established timelines
- Ensuring all production updates are completed as scheduled
- Acting as a project resource for Software Management, coordinates and liaises with internal supporting Technical Operations teams as required
- Preparing implementation plan, technical support document, arranging for change/release schedules.
- Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call responsibilities
What you'll have:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a large-scale IT environment.
- University degree in computer science or equivalent
- Solid understanding about the impact to products and services and helping to work towards reducing incidents and the impacts
Technical Skills:
- Experience in operating and supporting Web-Based Applications is required
- Experience in Java Application Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Jetty) is required
- Experience with Rest API implementation or support is required.
- Experience with CI /CD pipeline
- Experience with setting up cloud environments (AWS) for Development, QA, UAT, and Production
- Familiar with deployment tools such as Docker, Chef, Git
- Experience in monitoring/reporting tools
- Experience in using SQL (MS SQL, MySQL, etc.) is required
- Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- Experience scripting/development skills (shell, Perl, PHP, Java)
- Experience in mapping business requirement into a technical requirement
- Experience in networks and firewalls - can work with network team to perform connectivity setup and troubleshooting
Nice to have:
- Experience using Splunk
- Experience using MuleSoft
- Experience using ActiveMQ
- Knowledge in IT management best practices: Problem, Incident, Release, and Change Management - ITIL Foundation certification is a nice to have
