**Qualifications**

- Good knowledge of Halifax Regional Municipality
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a composed manner
- Customer service focus
- Expertise in organizational planning and problem solving
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner using the guidelines and rules set out in the Driver’s Handbook and Policy and Procedures manual
- Ensure school routes are covered as per Dispatch policy
- Schedule and assign charters as required
- Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns
- Ensure all required paperwork/requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Create/improve existing Operations systems
- Be aware of the yard’s bus situation and work with the maintenance staff to ensure that all units are maintained in working order in a timely manner
- Keep appropriate staff informed of any major issues, changes or concerns in an expedient fashion
- General office duties as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person
