**Program Officer -health promotion**

(Full-time Contract from June 17, 2024 to August 9, 2024)

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

**What you'll get to do**:
Support with needs analysis and intake of new clients.

Conduct research and compile resources specific to newcomer settlement.

Work in collaboration with CCS Instructional and Settlement Teams to plan, develop and deliver engaging information material to settle in their new communities, promoting learning through one-on-one and group activities

Coordinate with internal and external sources to gather available information and integration resources for better access to information and community programs.

Help create interactive presentations on various informative topics related to newcomer needs.

Help create ‘Resource Library’ for the Settlement Workers

Develop both hard copy and on-line tool of the resources.

Present ‘Library of Resources’ to internal programs.


**What you need to know/have**:
Ability to work with diverse teams.

Knowledge and understanding of language barriers and cultural challenges faced by newcomer individuals in vulnerable communities.

Good English language communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Mandarin is considered an asset

Effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills for efficient program design.

Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate work ethics in alignment with CCS core values.

**Location**: Peel, ON

**Hours**: 35 per week, occasional weekends and evenings may be required.

**Compensation**: $16.55 per hour
