**Job Description**:
What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Tester (QE), you will join CIBC’s Personal and Small Business Technology (PSBT) Team. As a Technical Tester you will build, implement, execute, and maintain robust, repeatable, scalable automation solutions that enhance the PSBT QA functional test team capabilities. For automation work packages and transformation you’ll be hands on lead the planning, development, execution and integration into existing QA / QE processes.

The Technical Tester is responsible for developing project test strategies and plans and overseeing testing activities for projects and initiatives in compliance with established controls and standards. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Technical Tester troubleshoots issues for all levels, identifying project testing approaches and methods for incorporation into the testing plan, and execution to assign test work packages, and lead testing teams. The role exercises independent judgement and decision making within ownership of projects and milestones, analyzing and resolving unusual testing challenges to facilitate decision making with client and senior management. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking.

Who You Are
- Drive Automated Testing: Create, maintain and execute test automation scripts; contribute to the development of test automation frameworks to drive continuous improvement. Report and manage software concerns and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide status of testing, communicate issues, implement QA standards and policies, and communicate QA schedule.
- Teamwork & Partnering: Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers. You will work with partners internally to understand the automation needs and process flows required as well as internally/externally managing automation solutions with vendor teams as required.
