**LEAD CONCIERGE & SECURITY**

We are looking for an experienced full time Lead Concierge/Security Guard, also known as “Director of First Impressions”, to join our warm and welcoming retirement condominium community, located in Burlington.

We are a dedicated and customer service-oriented team and we operate more like an extended family and know all the residents living in our building.

**Professional Accountability / Qualifications** **not limited to**:
**Education**:

- College education in related hospitality, property management and/or safety & security programs are an asset.
- Certificate of Security Guard in Good Standing, in compliance with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA) in the province of Ontario, with evidence of current First Aid Level A - CPR certification.

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

- Previous concierge/security team management, leadership experience and skills.
- Demonstrated excellent working knowledge of computer programs; Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher), office equipment (printers, telephone, photocopier, two-way radios, misc. equipment).
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand verbal and written directions in English and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with residents, guests, visitors and staff, using tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and in control during an emergency.
- Considered a competent person, as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Working knowledge, and ensuring compliance, of Fire Safety and Emergency procedures, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System 2015 (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (S8, 9, 28 and 43), Accessibilities Customer Service Policy (AODA), Respectful Workplace (Harassment) and Anti-Violence workplace policy.
- Interest and desire to work with seniors to promote wellness and a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.

**Working Conditions**:

- Sitting, lifting (10kg / 22 lbs), reaching, bending and squatting.
- Stress related to emergencies, time pressure, multi-tasking and deadlines and dealing with people in emotional distress.
- Uniform dress code.
- Occasional irregular hours, overtime and being on-call. May be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends.

Infection Control Specific:

- All new staff must have, and provide proof of, at least double vaccination and willingness to undergo ongoing onsite Covid-19 rapid testing, when required.
