The psychologist/psychological associate for Child and Adolescent Mental Health directly reports to the Manager of

Supportive Services, with a matrix reporting relationship for psychology practice to the Director, Health Professions

and Collaborative Practice.

The psychologist/psychological associate will provide a range of psychological services including; assessment,

diagnosis, treatment planning, consultation, and coordination in an expeditious manner. The

psychologist/psychological associate will work with children/youth and their families/guardian independently and as a

member of the interprofessional team.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

- Current registration or proof of eligibility for registration for autonomous practice or supervised practice as a

Psychologist or Psychological Associate with authorized areas of practice in Clinical Psychology with Children

(required), Adolescents (required) and Families (preferred).
- Demonstrated skills in the assessment and treatment of children and youth with complex mental health problems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the DSM‑5 and psychosocial issues affecting patients living with complex mental

illness and/or addictions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychological principles, psychological testing, methods and techniques for children

and youth.
- Evidence of experience with risk assessments (preferred);
- Evidence of competency and innovation in treatment program design and evaluation of treatment outcomes;
- Ability to work flexibly in an interprofessional team setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Acts/Legislation
- Experience in an acute hospital or psychiatric setting is an asset.

Salary Range: $47.260 to 60.270 for Psychological Associate

Salary Range: $55.62 to 70.89 for Psychologist
