**About the Opportunity**

This is a **part-time HR Generalist **position, 24 hours per week reporting to the Director, Human Resources. You will work both out of our Niagara-on-the-Lake Office and Remote from home.

**The Role**
- Update HR related documents & employment policies where needed with direction
- Maintaining records in both RISE, Sharepoint & HR Downloads
- Work with the HR Team to build an HR Calendar and maintain communication & activity related to monthly objectives
- Participate in HR Projects (employee engagement initiatives, career fairs, trainings, and retention strategies)
- Lead Onboarding/Offboarding
- Conduct Exit Interviews
- Document Process & Workflow, creating SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) & provide recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze employee data & trends, creating reports for Senior Leadership
- Provide assistance to the HR team and other Leadership as required
- Ensure legal compliance of applicable employment laws and all areas of Health & Safety
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and other HR programs
- Serve as a key contact for employee inquiries concerning policies, procedures, benefits, and employee programs.
- Project a positive image to customers both internal and external

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years HR Admin and/or Generalist experience, preferably in a Customer Support organization
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or other related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships
- Keen attention to detail with strong administrative skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality & discretion
- Understanding of all provincial Employment Standards and Labour laws
- Understanding of payroll practices is a definite asset
- Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with HR software, preferably RISE
- A clear and succinct English language communicator (verbal and written)
- Works well under limited supervision in a fast-paced virtual office environment
- Comfortable working in a stand-alone position
- Ability to drive/work out of multiple locations as required
