As a fashion lecturer you will be responsible for designing and delivering fashion-related courses, covering topics such as fashion history, design, manufacturing and contemporary trends. Guide students in their understanding of the key concepts of the fashion industry and help them to develop their practical skills and critical thinking in this constantly evolving field. They may also supervise research projects and offer personalised guidance to help students achieve their academic and professional goals in the fashion industry. The skills and concepts imparted in this programme include:

- Fashion design
- Pattern design
- Textile design

**Status**: Contract - Fall 2024 session
**Location**: Lasalle College, Montreal, Quebec
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan class sessions ;
- Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner ;
- Design formative and summative assessments using the competency-based approach ;
- Administer and correct assessments ;
- Monitor each student and encourage success ;
- Be available to students in order to promote their development of the skill targeted by the course ;
- All other related tasks.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- You must be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Hold a university certificate or diploma or a college diploma, with an option or concentration in the discipline concerned;
- Teaching or have teaching experience in the discipline for one full semester within the last five (5) years;
- Have practised a trade or profession related to the discipline or course in question for at least two (2) years.

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
