**Social Worker RSW**

We are looking for full time Master in Social Work (or students about to complete their last practicum placement) with experience working with families, adults, youth and children. Must be registered with the MCSW.

Winnipeg Narrative Therapy is a fully stablished psychotherapy agency that provides services in Winnipeg and surrounding area.

Our office is centrally located and we count with administration staff and provide monthly supervision.

Duties include:

- Provide exceptional counseling services therapy to help families, adults, youth and children under 18 years of age.
- Provide therapy to adults who are actively parenting children under 18 years of age and who have a history of trauma which is impacting their parenting.
- Provide therapy to individuals that are experiencing inter-generational trauma.
- Provide therapy to children, adolescents and youth that currently live in foster care.
- Provide play based therapy to children.
- Establish a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
- Maintain confidential client documentation including case notes and reports.
- Provide reasonable flexible appointment times for clients that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications include:

- An awareness to cross-cultural factors that impact the healing/recovery process, including inter generational trauma and the impact of colonization on indigenous and settler communities.
- Familiarity with narrative and social justice practices as well as play based interventions.
- Clinical experience working with families, individuals, youth and children.
- Knowledge about disabilities and skills to work with families and children with disabilities.
- Experience working with clients involved with multiple systems.
- Experience working with clients face to face as well as on an online basis.
- Demonstrated ability of strong clinical skills and judgment.
- Thorough knowledge and clinical experience related to risk assessment, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, suicide loss, mental health and substance use and addiction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of intimate partner violence and experience counselling with people that has suffer abuse in their relationships.
- Availability to travel to another city in MB for a day or two to provide services will be great but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- We will consider students completing their last clinical field placement in their master’s program._

Salary is dependent upon education and/or experience.
