**Sales Development Manager**

**About us**

We are Canada’s leader in foot sensitive hosiery. Having largely pioneered this market segment, our brands are strongly represented throughout Canada as well as the US and UK through diverse and muti segmented retail channels.

**Overview**

The **Sales Development Manager** will be responsible for growing the company’s revenue through prospecting and closing new retail opportunities in addition to maintaining strong customer relations with the companies existing customer base.

**Responsibilities**

Research and identify new sales opportunities and develop same into sustainable long term retail accounts.

Participate in new product development, product branding and market assessment.

Research and identify tradeshows and conferences that will benefit the company in terms if exposure and sales. Organize, setup and represent company at tradeshows, association events and conferences.

Provide detailed product knowledge to HHC managers.

Contribute to and maintain companies CRM platform.

Assist the General Manager in the development of new product lines and tradenames.

Prepare monthly sales performance reports for shareholder’s review.

Researching and opening new markets.

Participate in optimizing and growing companies’ e-commerce sales.

Create effective marketing, advertising, and promotion strategies to grow sales and promote brand awareness.

Maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities to grow sales within existing customer base.

Analyze and track sales by brand, territory and retail channel, and develop strategies to increase sales in each.

Work with the companies accounts to develop effective retail POG’s.

Contact and build relationships with business influencers from different sectors including health groups, industry associations, media, and so on.

**Position requirements**

Possess a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Minimum 3 years of related experience in selling nationally branded goods.

Able to travel throughout Canada and possible trips in the US.

Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Proven track record of prospecting and closing deals.

Able to attend tradeshows and conferences on weekends (3-5 per year).

Fluency in French would be a strong asset.

Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing would be considered favourable.

**Renumeration**

Base salary plus commission.

three weeks of vacation per year.

Flexibility for working from home up to 3 days /week.

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Retention bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON N1T 2A9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- sales: 2 years (preferred)
