**Independent Programming Committee Representative**
- NOTE: Please be advised this is a committee position, not a full-time employment opportunity.

MaxTV Local on Demand is TV programming that focuses on the people, places and interests important to people in Saskatchewan. As part of basic MaxTV, customers have access to a variety of quality programs with local appeal.

As part of SaskTel´s license to offer this service, SaskTel has established an advisory committee to provide guidance and direction with regard to local programming. SaskTel is looking for one representative in North Battleford to serve on the Independent Programming Committee.

The member who is selected to represent North Battleford as part of this advisory committee will be expected to fulfill a two year term and will be paid expenses as well as an annual honorarium.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Responsible for ensuring SaskTel´s MaxTV Local on Demand service is reflective of the communities it serves and provides entertainment value for MaxTV customers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Meet a minimum of twice per year and dependent on the location of the meetings, you will need to be prepared to travel.
- Review and provide guidance on the program schedule.
- Approve program criteria and decision making processes.
- Researches programming opportunities, make recommendations, and participate in the sharing of programming ideas and decision making with regional committee members based on available budget and customer research.
- Be familiar with the CRTC and Broadcast Act rules and regulations with regard to community programming and ensure the programming is in conformity with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key members of the community and act as a champion and liaison to SaskTel facilitating opportunities to develop local content for MaxTV Local on Demand.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be a resident of North Battleford.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with others.
- Good planning, organizing and coordinating skills.
- Valid driver's license.
