The Assistant General Manager oversees all store activities ensuring store targets and customer service levels are achieved. This individual is responsible for the hiring, training, cross-training, and development of all sales-related staff. The Assistant General Manager serves as the liaison between the store and Support Services, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. The Assistant General Manager manages the Sales, Office, Service, Parts, and Body Shop personnel; these departments receive operational direction from Support Services as well. This individual completes all reporting and administrative procedures as required.

Area of Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicle sales goals are attained by holding Managers and Sales Representatives accountable for Lithia's sales process and customer experience.
- Manage the daily activity of Sales Managers using the daily work plan in LSMS to ensure sales volume and productivity goals are met.
- Develop effective employees by communicating expected performance standards, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching, and mentoring.
- Complete all month-end procedures accurately and on time.
- Maintain a relationship with the manufacturer by meeting consistently with representatives to discuss product offerings, manufacturer incentives, and regional sales targets.

Hiring Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- _18 years or older_
- _Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license_
- _A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment_
