**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collect field data, prepare documentation, and analyze data for technical reports.
- Assist with data manipulation, forest estate modeling, and resource planning.
- Contribute to various projects in ecosystem analysis, wildfire management, silviculture, forest planning, environmental enhancement, forest carbon accounting, timberland valuation, and urban forestry.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and team members to meet client deliverables.
- Conduct local and remote fieldwork, ensuring health, safety, environment, and community standards are upheld.
- Manage and execute field programs for sampling and assessing forest vegetation, soil, sediment, and seed germination.
- Oversee environmental monitoring activities, including inspections and laboratory nursery management.
- Utilize drone technology for reforestation efforts, including seed dispersal and monitoring.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors as needed.
- Maintain and operate field instruments and equipment.

**WHAT WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?**
- Previous environmental, forestry, or consulting experience preferred.
- Willingness to work in varying climatic conditions and travel for extended periods.
- Mechanical aptitude considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license.
- Deep knowledge of forest plants, including conifer, shrubs, and other vegetation.

**NICE TO HAVES**
- International forestry experience.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- This position requires both office and field work, with the potential for being in the field for days at a time with the team.

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Coquitlam, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Port Coquitlam, BC
