**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

We are seeking an **Associate Manager of Scientific Communication.** This is a **full-time** position based out of our **Toronto Fraser Head Office**.

**WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE**
- Supports the Scientific Communications and Brand Engagement Manager to deliver on the scientific communications strategy
- Manages NPD/NPL projects and stretch assignments under the supervision of the Scientific Communications and Brand Engagement Manager
- Oversee the maintenance of the library of scientific information for all DECIEM’s products
- Key partner for the R&D Lab, Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Research teams to translate clinical data into relevant and understandable copy for internal and external communication
- Works closely with Clinical Research and Regulatory teams to develop and substantiate scientific product claims and supports the Product Marketing team with creation of product and ingredient marketing claims
- Works with Regulatory and Legal teams to review and approve external copy from key partners
- Provides Communications team with expert commentary/quotes for media and other external channels
- Conducts interviews with media, influencers and participates in live engagements as necessary
- Supports Brand and Product Science Communications with technical and ingredient copy
- Builds and manages relationships across the business with a variety of different teams or stakeholders

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE**
- Undergraduate Degree in Cosmetic Science or a related field (e.g. biochemistry, health/life sciences, pharmaceuticals)
- Strong attention to detail, establishing priorities and scheduling
- Experience researching, creating and translating scientific/technical content
- Working knowledge of cosmetic science, pharmaceutical or life science environment an advantage
- Effective communicator, able to deliver content for communications programmes
