What You’ll be Doing:

- New Vehicle Feature Strategic Planning_- Collaboratively develop strategic plans for managing and rolling out key new vehicle features (Safety, convenience, personalization) across Toyota and Lexus- Research new vehicle features to develop the strategic plan, ensuring concentrated proposals are developed for approval- Partner and collaborate with other TCI business units and Toyota Motor North America to develop an executable new vehicle feature strategy- Ensure the right features are included in the upcoming BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) & PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid) products which are an integral part of TCI’s future lineup to align with the voice of the customer
- Supporting the Pursuit of the Right Vehicle Portfolio and Powertrains_- Support the expansion of studies to determine the optimal product portfolio and powertrains to meet the voice of the Canadian customer and Toyota Canada’s long-term goals- Research and maintain a Product Portfolio/Powertrain that summarizes the path forward over the next decade- Support the team through all the major milestones throughout the year to communicate and negotiate toward TCI’s requirements
- Improvement of Compliance Strategy & Execution Robustness_- Assist the team in enhancing the robustness of the strategy planning for both near-term (0-3 years) and long-term (3-10 years) horizons for ZEV/GHG/Tailpipe regulations- Support the optimization of execution strategies towards meeting compliance Federally and provincially (QC/BC)- Enhance the understanding of Canadian market conditions to better inform the future lineup of Toyota and Lexus vehicles- Improve understanding of revenue and cost impacts related to compliance and future product impacts

What You’ll Bring:
- University Degree/College Diploma in Business, Management, or Engineering- 3+ years of related work experience; automotive, strategy and product management preferred- Experience in Product Planning, Sales and Inventory Planning, and/or Connected Technology is an asset- Demonstrated “storytelling” skills, with the ability to distill complicated issues into easy-to-understand bullets and recommendations for audiences up to the Executive team- Strong ability to take qualitative and quantitative insights and analyze them to determine the ‘story’- Skillful in influencing, negotiating, and consensus-building horizontally and vertically- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
