presently seeking a** VP Capital Maintenance and Building Systems.**

Reporting to the President, The VP of Capital Maintenance and Building Systems oversees capital planning,
maintenance, operation and functioning of all major building systems, budgeting and execution for the Armour
Group’s extensive portfolio of commercial, residential and hospitality properties across Atlantic Canada

**As VP Capital Maintenance and Building Systems, you’ll get to**:

- Perform on-site evaluations and assessments of existing buildings to identify potential concerns;
remaining useful life of critical infrastructure; guiding project management and operations teams on the

maintenance and replacement of the same.
- Creating and continuous updating of 5-year asset management plans and 30-year capital infrastructure

plans for all assets within the portfolio.
- Provide consultation to Operations Team Members on matters relating to building sciences, primarily in

the areas of structural, architectural, and building envelope.
- Oversee the performance of the Building Systems team, ensuring effective performance of technical

systems and building operators
- Develop operational plans for the efficient utilization and operation of the building systems.
- Provide full oversight on all capital repair projects, including but not limited to design, tendering,

technical review, project management, and deficiency reviews. Providing guidance and direction to the

project managers leading those projects.
- Consult on new construction project designs to proactively identify possible operational issues.
- Participate in new building acquisition due diligence, including review of building condition assessments

and acting as Owner representative for third party diligence inspections.
- Such other similar and related duties as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time.
- Providing guidance to Operations Team Members when emergency capital is required.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Completion of an Engineering Degree program ideally with a focus on Building Sciences, or equivalent

experience in building projects.
- Prior engineering/project management experience, with a focus on projects related to building

envelope/structure and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Experience in creating capital plans is an asset.
- P.Eng certification is preferred.
