We are looking to expand the Safety Services Nova Scotia team with a brand new division of driving test examiners, to support the province in reducing wait times for in-car driving tests. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and training while providing excellent customer service. - New employees will be provided with extensive training and will become a fully certified driving test examiner. This position initially is for a 12 month period with the potential to be extended into a permanent position. - Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in a fast-paced, multitasked environment.
- Understand the Drivers Handbook and the Rules of the Road in the Province of Nova Scotia and impart this knowledge during examinations.
- Ensure compliance with specific criteria set by the Department of Public Works and Safety Services Nova Scotia.
- Commit to ongoing performance evaluations conducted by management.
- Complete a comprehensive training program to establish competency as a driver examiner, as prescribed by the Department of Public Works and Safety.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
- Minimum 1 year driving experience in Nova Scotia.
- Clear driver's abstract for the past five years, with no driver's license suspensions or moving violations.
- No criminal code convictions in the last ten years.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Records Check, including a vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset).
- Experience in road safety education or driver training programs. (Asset)
- Familiarity with advanced driving techniques and defensive driving practices. (Asset)
- Previous experience in a regulatory or law enforcement role related to traffic or transportation.(Asset)
- Extensive knowledge in Nova Scotia Road Safety Act. (Asset)
- A strong passion for promoting road safety and driver education.
- Experience in Test Administration: Prior experience in administering examinations, tests, or assessments, demonstrating proficiency in maintaining a fair and structured testing environment.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
