**JOB OVERVIEW**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Install, repair, and maintain gas/diesel fired boilers and associated equipment including the electrical and instrumentation components.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and diagnostics on systems to ensure efficient operation including flu gas analysis.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other specifications for repairs or job cost estimates.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading and welding.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in pipe fitting.
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment depending on the current project.
- Must be organized and possess strong time management skills.
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless installation and repair process.

**Qualifications**:

- Certification or diploma in gas fitting, plumbing, or a related field. Red Seal preferred.
- Proven experience as a gas fitter or in a similar role; experience with boilers is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of gas, steam, hydronic heating, and other systems.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle physical workload and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Hand tools: 1 year (preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
- Welding: 1 year (required)
- Time management: 1 year (preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (required)
- gas fitter or boiler: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
