Job Title: Gas Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals. As a Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining gas lines and gas equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and inspect gas lines and gas equipment
  • Repair and maintain gas lines and gas equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Test and certify defective equipment
  • Perform annual inspections and service repairs on construction heaters
  • Advise clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units
  • Document all service and repair information
  • Complete daily hazard assessments and circle checks
  • Deliver and pick up small equipment as required
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Gas Fitter with "B" ticket
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
  • Considerable knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and codes
  • Ability to read and understand building and mechanical plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and satisfactory abstract
  • Complete set of tools
