This ministry supports Albertans through a person-centred, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families.

The Business Enablement and Coordination team is housed within the Employment Services branch. The BEC team provides project management, coordination, guidance and delivery support to Career and Employment Information Services programs and services. BEC works in collaboration with Procurement and Resource Management, alis, and Employment Policy to implement renewed Employment Services Delivery Models. BEC also works with other ministries such as Jobs, Economy and Northern Development and Skilled Trades and Professions to effectively address the career and employment needs of Albertans.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- The Employment Services branch is seeking a team-oriented Employment Services Consultant to develop and implement processes that directly impact the delivery of career and employment services in Alberta.
- The delivery of employment services within Seniors, Community and Social Services is continuously evolving.- Regardless of where in Alberta you’re working from, you’ll be surrounded and supported by a diverse team of experienced Business Specialists, Employment Services Consultants, Policy Planners and Contract and Procurement Specialists who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives and careers of Albertans. The Employment Services branch is highly distributed across 17 different offices throughout rural and urban Alberta—connecting virtually comes naturally to us. You will be assigned to a nearby government office and supported to work from home on a hybrid basis if you prefer, so long as you can remain productive and deliver results.
- This position provides support to the delivery of key cross-ministry and federal employment initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of provincial career and employment services.
- Under the direction of the Manager, Business Enablement and Coordination and Business Specialists, the Employment Services Consultant is responsible for specific employment and training programs and services as assigned, and for the coordination of related activities and program policies, processes and initiatives that support the skills and labour force development of Albertans. Employment Services Consultants create the link between policy and the practical, on-the-ground programs that are delivered by SCSS staff and training providers to thousands of Albertans.
- Employment Services Consultants:
- Support diverse projects as part of the Business Enablement and Coordination team.
- Promote collaboration and positive relationships within and across groups, building commitment to reach desired results.
- Provide strategic input and advice to all business units within the Employment Services branch and across the Employment and Financial Services division.
- Enhance participant/client effectiveness using expert knowledge of facilitation, process design, project management and capacity building theories and techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- An undergraduate degree in a related field, and a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
- Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
