**Job Summary**: OVG360 is currently seeking a part time Building Operator/Janitor for Youngs Sportsplex located in Welland, ON. This role will primarily be scheduled for evenings, and weekends. Youngs Sportsplex consists of four indoor tennis courts, one indoor full-size soccer field (divisible into three small-sided fields), three outdoor full size artificial turf soccer fields, and two outdoor full-size grass soccer fields.

The Building Operator will be responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor facilities. He or she will ensure smooth transitions between programming, as well as look after the setup, tear down, cleaning and maintenance of these spaces. The Building Operator will need to understand the operations of a sports facility, janitorial procedures, and have positive customer service skills

**Job Functions / Areas of Responsibility**
- Ensure washrooms and change room facilities are clean
- Clean around the fields, as well as emptying garbage bins regularly.
- Maintain and groom soccer fields and tennis courts on a regular basis.
- Maintain the schedule of programs and leagues by performing effective transitions between user groups
- Set up & take down of equipment for rentals, leagues, and special events.
- Liaise with clients, team coaches and referees, addressing queries, concerns or complaints.
- Monitor the safety of all activities and programs and respond to any safety concerns.
- Provide support for special events as required.
- Liaise with bookings and other appropriate departments to ensure the smooth delivery of rentals.
- Complete basic administrative duties such as booking rentals, taking payments, and record keeping as needed.
- Other janitorial and administrative duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated to provide a clean and positive experience to all guests
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paper work.
- Ability to routinely lift heavy equipment
