Yard Associate

**Position Summary**:
A Yard Associate is committed to achieving Doidge Building Centres Ltd.’s Service sales and service goals while providing the customers with the best shopping experience possible.

This position is part-time seasonal with the possibility of part-time permanent. Wage is dependent on experience.

**Location**:This position is located at the RONA store at 920 Niagara St., Welland, Ontario

**Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to**:

- Builds loads/orders as required for customer pick up or delivery in an accurate manner
- Ensures proper and safe handling and storage of inventory products to minimize any damage
- Maintains equipment to ensure safe operation and appearance
- Ensures that all circle checks, safety checks and MTO regulations are completed.
- Helps maintain appearance of yard and warehouse
- Performs other job-related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Physically demanding. Use of ladders, climbing and lifting techniques when required. Medium and heavy lifting is a major component of this position
- Forklift certification is an asset

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
