The Regency of Lakefield Retirement Home is seeking dedicated Housekeepers to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our retirement home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and sanitizing all common areas, resident rooms, and administrative offices.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and resident clothing.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Respond promptly to resident requests and address any concerns related to housekeeping services.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience as a Housekeeper or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate attitude and respect for the elderly population.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must pass a vulnerable sector criminal check
- Must live in and be eligible to work in Canada
