**Job Title**: Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant

**Job Type**: Full-Time (30-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with 2-3 Saturdays per month)

**About Us**:Sunset Ridge Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned, small-animal veterinary clinic located in the beautiful and growing community of Sunset Ridge in Cochrane, Alberta. Our practice offers a variety of services for dogs and cats, including wellness checks, vaccinations, surgeries, spay & neuter procedures, radiology, dentistry, and laboratory testing. Our dedicated team includes three amazing veterinarians who are passionate about providing top-quality care.

**Responsibilities**:Your key duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Providing excellent customer service by greeting clients and patients, and addressing their needs.
- Confirming appointments and following up with clients as needed.
- Explaining fees and processing payments.
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products or services.
- Educating clients on general (non-medical) animal care.
- Maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensuring the clinic is clean and welcoming, including exam rooms, laundry, and hospital maintenance.
- Assisting veterinarians/technicians with treatments and procedures as required, this includes safely handling both cats and dogs.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative assistant role is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- A strong ability to multitask between reception and hospital duties.
