**STATEMENT OF PURPOSE**
As directed, supervises operational activities during non-service and service hours. The position may supervise operational activities during non-peak service hours for limited times during bank runs, emergencies, etc. The nature of supervision is "work direction."
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**Supervision**
**1. Supervises open/close during non-service hours**
**2. Provides "work direction" to crew members during service hours**
**3. Addresses performance problems of crew members that require immediate attention; refers problem to unit manager for progressive discipline if appropriate**
**QSC Standards**
**1. Monitors product quality and takes corrective action where necessary**
**2. Follows store cleaning plan**
**3. Monitors positional and service line organization**
**4. Monitors service times and determines efficiency**
**5. Exhibits positive customer service attitude always**
**Controls**
**1. Follows flow charts, prep projections and "build to" charts**
**2. Monitors labor and food cost usage against sales reading and recommends corrective action where necessary**
**3. Follows store plans as set by General Manager**
**4. Controls food cost by minimizing waste**
**Training/Performance Management**
**1. As directed by unit manager, assists in training and cross-training in positional skills**
**Policies and Procedures**
**1. Follows all procedures in Operational Procedures Manual**
**2. Ensures clock/in and clock/out accuracy and break compliance during shift for which he/she is responsible**
**3. Adheres to cash control and banking policies, knows register procedure**
**4. Ensures voided transactions are tracked on "void tracking sheet" with original receipt**
**5. Ensures dress policy is followed**
**6. Follows all maintenance procedures**
**Health and Safety**
**Maintains safe working conditions by following all safety and security policies and procedures; notifies unit manager of any accident or injury**

- **_ Ensure _**the health and safety of all employees, contractors and customers under their direct supervision and make sure that they are made aware of all known reasonable foreseeable health and safety hazards in the area
- **_ Ensure _**that an employee uses or wears any equipment, protective devices or clothing that Wendy's requires
- **_ Provide _**the employee with written or on-line instructions and procedures for the employee to be able to complete their task without injury to themselves of other co-workers (CloserCollab and Welearn Activities)
- **_ Cooperate_** and consult with the joint health and safety committee or the worker health and safety representative or with the Ministry of Labour Inspector when they request information**
- Takes part in filling in Hazard/Near Miss reporting forms when required
- Ensures that when an accident happens on his/her shift; that they communicate this to the General Manager so appropriate documents can be filed
- Knows where to find customer incident reporting forms in case of incident
**Employee Relations**
**1. Uses consistent and appropriate practices in carrying out supervision and "work direction" accountabilities**
**2. Advises unit manager as to performance/discipline problems providing sufficient information for the unit manager to take corrective action as required**
**EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
**KNOWLEDGE**
- Thorough knowledge of Wendy's Operational Procedures and Standards
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- High School Graduate; or equivalent experience plus 1 or more years of restaurant experience
**AGE REQUIREMENT**
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
**MINIMUM HOURS REQUIREMENT**
- This position is expected to maintain an average of 32 hours or more per week over a calendar year
