**GFL Environmental is looking for a Route Supervisor to be based out of Ayr, Ontario location.**:
**The Route Supervisor must have FMCSA** US Regulation knowledge and **will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the Company’s transportation requirements and patterns. They will review and process day to day operations, evaluate and recommend equipment needs, and plan and schedule appropriate service lines to maintain a cost-effective balance between customer service and cost of service. They will ensure compliance with all government related programs specific to mode and direction of related haulage.**:

**Key Responsibilities**:
**- **Direct supervision of all drivers, ensuring ongoing training requirements:, discipline and procedural implementation.**:

- **Assist with and recommend annual equipment budget; implement and monitor the budget within approved limits.**:

- **Act as a direct liaison between dispatch and drivers to ensure information regarding daily schedules, equipment and service Requirements: is efficiently relayed.**:

- **Attain all of the necessary information regarding any issues by maintaining courteous, prompt and efficient customer relations with residents.**:

- **Tracking of ongoing service/driver issues and documenting any discipline required.**:

- **Maintain inventory of all necessary supplies and products required for service which may include sourcing multiple vendors or alternate supply chains.**:

- **Direct communication with other departments to ensure proper ongoing service and upkeep of all units including safety devices, vehicle lighting, warning devices, fittings, safety supplies.**:

- **Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers reporting any issues immediately to your direct supervisor.**:

- **Ensure company policy, systems, and industry related training is delivered to all drivers.**:

- **Perform Accident Investigations when company vehicles are involved in traffic accidents.**:

- **Provide or arrange training for drivers to ensure they are properly servicing customers based on established Requirements:.**:

- **Resolve all internal service issues in a cost effective and expeditious manner; all customer service issues to be reported internally in a timely, organized manner with details on how the issue(s) will be resolved.**:
***Requirements**:

- ** Valid Commercial Driver's License with air break endorsement preferred**:

- ** S**hould have FMCSA US Regulation knowledge.**:

- ** 2-3 years supervisory experience along with experience working with Sideloaders, Rear Packers, Over The Tops, Front End, and Roll Off vehicles. S**hould have FMCSA US Regulation knowledge.**:

- ** Able to perform a pre and post trip inspection and accident investigations.**:

- ** Previous operations, transportation, waste management experience preferred.**:

**- **Strong communication and interpersonal skills.**:

- **Ability to plan, prioritize and execute against tight timelines.**:

- **Proficient with database, spreadsheet, and word processing computer skills within a Microsoft environment.**:
