Autocad Draftsperson

Matrix Metal currently is in need of an Autocad draftsperson.

Experience with metal would be preferable, but wood/construction experience might also be considered. A min of 3 years of AutoCAD relevant experience is required.

Currently, in our fourth year and growing exponentially every year. We have 12 employees and run a day shift and an afternoon shift in the shop. The shop runs from 6am to 2am

4/10s is an optional schedule and a long weekend is available every weekend. Overtime is also available sometimes.

We already have several large contracts including a brand new elementary school, a presentation centre and several restaurants, warehouse and construction projects.

Every day is quiet busy and we are having a hard time keeping up. This is a start as soon as possible job and it is not a work from home job.

Duties will include
- Creating shop drawings for in house fabrication and approval from engineers or clients.
- Creating dxf and cad files for laser cutting, water jetting, etc.
- Reviewing other workers drawings
- Creating shop drawings from site measurements and notes
- reading site plan drawings and composing tenders for our scope of work on that project.
- help estimating costs and and creating solutions for clients.

Occasionally dealing with clients and or or suppliers for estimating and ordering/ scheduling purposes.
