We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and takes pride in their work, has experience preparing construction documents and keeps up to date on construction and code related issues. Our projects involve residential construction with renovations and new builds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in completing drawing of sets and documentation packages for new residential construction and renovation.
- Maintain and revise site plan drawings.
- Maintain record files of specification books and drawings.
- Assist Design Team and architects in obtaining documents from cities.
- Assist with data collection using Matterport.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

- Architectural drafting knowledge, methods and practices.
- Familiarity and experience with CAD
- Knowledge of the BC Building Code and City of Burnaby and City of Vancouver Building bylaws.
- Experience with residential construction projects - renovations and new builds.
- Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

ABILITY TO:

- Prepare architectural drawings according to design specifications.
- Assist in field inspection of construction projects.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements and
- restrictions.
- Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Work with customers, architects and engineers regarding plans and specifications
- Work with mínimal direction

COMPUTER AND TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE
- Computer-aided design (CAD)
- Adobe Photoshop
- AutoCAD
- Autodesk REVIT
- MS Office
- Spreadsheet

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Two year related drafting experience preferred.
- College, certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

- Driver’s licence
- Own a reliable vehicle - preferred.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities
- Work under pressure
- Attention to detail.
- May travel to project sites to gather project data using Matterport.
