Reporting to the Manager, Labour Relations, the Administrator (New Grad) provides administrative support services in a fast paced and detailed environment to the Talent Acquisition team as required in an efficient, timely, and professional manner for day-to-day business activities.
This position is based in Edmonton, AB office.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with updating and posting current job vacancies via applicant tracking system.- Gather resumes received from a variety of sources.- Engage with the Talent Acquisition team to support the onboarding process for new hire employees and contractors.- Complete data entry of all employee documentation including safety tickets, resumes and additional documentation into Workday.- Assist with training requests.- Conduct verification of required certifications.- Assist in tracking of training requirements, apprenticeship programs for existing employees.- Maintain internal SharePoint with updated information and details.- Assist with labour market research.- Follow up with any outstanding requests and requirements from employees and stakeholders.- In addition to interpreting and implementing current company policies/procedures, be able to provide recommendations and develop new policies/procedures.
What We Are Looking For- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, or relevant experience- Graduated from a post-secondary program within the past 24-months- 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative capacity preferably in a construction, industrial or similar organization- Experience working in a high pace, high volume onboarding environment for skilled trades and labour positions an asset- Ability to operate within an environment where change happens frequently- Ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups- Strong written and oral communication skills, thoughtful, proactive, creative- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities- Capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them- Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task- Must have a valid driver’s license
