What You Will Get To Do
Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation Customer Service, the Receptionist/Cashier is responsible for providing customer service at the reception desk, via telephone and on-line, including:
- dealing effectively with customer complaints and inquiries, explaining programs, services, policies and procedures regarding health club, fitness and aquatics services, and other facilities and programs for the Town of Whitby;
- handling revenue for admissions and program registrations;
- reconciling daily receipts;
- promoting, receiving and processing health club memberships;
- providing clerical assistance in the form of typing, filing, record keeping, etc.; and
- assisting with other projects/duties as may be required.

What You Bring To Our Team
As the successful applicant, you must possess:
- a secondary school graduation diploma;
- six (6) months experience working in a customer service environment;
- telephone and cash handling experience;
- a demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- a demonstrated working knowledge of facility and recreation software ACTIVE Net is preferred;
- well-developed keyboarding skills;
