**Position Overview**

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating effective marketing plans, and effective options for advertising and promoting services and solutions offered by Bruce Telecom. The Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for managing all social media accounts, as well as preparing reports, presentations, briefs and press materials.

**Reports to**:Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care Manager

**_Community Events & Sponsorship_**
- Develop the annual event and sponsorship plan
- Be the corporate contact for all inquiries and maintain business relationships
- Review requests against established criteria to maximize return on sponsorship investment
- Extend overall marketing reach by identifying and building relationships with key community partners and groups

**_Marketing_**
- Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and subscriber targets
- Design, execute, and measure marketing and promotional campaigns to support specific products or service targets
- Coordinate advertising using multiple mediums
- Monitor corporate communications and maintain the Bruce Telecom website, all social media, and newsletters
- Develop and maintain the Bruce Telecom brand and corporate image

**_Product Management Support_**
- Review, analyze and make recommendations on new and existing products
- Monitor the marketplace, keep a current competitive analysis of all services and recommend actions for revisions to pricing or service change
- **Other Responsibilities**_
- Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
- Attend corporate and sponsored events as required
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager

**Educational Requirements**:
Post-secondary Education in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications

Required Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
Experience with developing, and participation in, Community Events

3-5 years relevant marketing or communications experience

Experience in the Telecommunications industry an asset

Experience with graphics programs or copywriting an asset Effective communication and project management skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Proven problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks

Excellent computer skills with strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point

**Working Conditions**:
Working in an office environment

Working at indoor and outdoor events

Interacting with the public at potentially crowded events Packing, unpacking, and moving marketing materials

Setting up displays

Using the telephone to communicate with vendors Considerable time spent on the computer

Communication with other departments

May be required to attend events on evenings or weekends

Flexible to work the hours required to complete tasks which may vary longer or shorter than the standard work day

**Physical Demands**:
Considerable time spent sitting at a work station using a keyboard and mouse

Communicating using the telephone

May be required to lift up to 15lbs

Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking

Repeated bending, squatting and stooping

**Mental Demands**:
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks Potential for an increased stress level
Interacting with the public at events

**Hours of Work**:40 Hours per week
