Our client has an immediate need for a Recruiting Manager.

**The Position**

In addition to having a passion to source untapped talent, the Recruiting Manager has the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, enjoys helping individuals find their new career, and has a desire to build a high performing recruitment team. The Recruiting Manager will think strategically, is innovative, and is skilled at driving and directing all recruitment efforts and processes.

**Key Responsibilities **_(including but not limited to):_
- Collaborate with leadership and recruiting team to implement a clearly defined talent acquisition strategy
- Plan and implement cost-effective, efficient recruiting strategies and procedures that identify and deliver top talent and minimize time-to-fill
- Manage high volume requisitions, recruitment databases and advertising budgets
- Work with the team to develop unique full cycle hiring strategies and interview criteria/questions
- Oversee onboarding efforts

Leadership
- Ensure consistency by training recruitment staff on new policies and monitor the implementation of new procedures
- Set clear goals and benchmarks for the recruitment team
- Work with recruitment team to meet monthly quotas
- Lead, coach, motivate recruitment staff and colleagues

Rate/Markets
- Understands the talent market through pro-active research
- Pursue opportunities to refine and improve process, identifying potential trends/issues
- Participate in local conferences, think tanks, and recruitment associations to build a diverse network
- Provide consultative advice to hiring management community
- Network, advertise, cold-call, use contacts to generate new clients, hunt for mandates, and close new business
- Utilize relevant sources for attraction such as job boards, job events, database, talent pooling, social media, headhunting and networking

**Education & Experience**
- Minimum five (5) years of recruiting experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) would be an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of leadership and management principles, including minimum two (2) years supervising a recruitment team
- Strong familiarity and understanding of HR practices and fair employment practices
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and standards, including cross border labour law
- Experience contributing to an environment that is constantly changing and has multiple stakeholders
- Strong proficiency with English, both verbal and written
