**Job Description** Clubhouse Food & Beverage Roles**

Within Food & Beverage roles at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club,** **you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding food and beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued. These positions consists of working in all areas of the golf food and beverage operation, including the Bear House, the Clubhouse and beverage cart.

**Rates of Pay**:
Captain - $18.10 per hour

Server & Beverage Cart Attendant - $16.75 per hour

**Qualifications** What you will be doing**:
Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
**Server / Beverage Cart Attendant**
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Responsible for opening and closing duties for the various Golf food and beverage locations
- Serve, refresh, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods, beverage lists and promotions
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- May be scheduled shifts in other Food & Beverage Departments as assigned by Management.
- Other duties as assigned

**Captain**
- Ensure the overall smooth operation of all golf course food and beverage areas (including, the Clubhouse, Bear House, Beverage Cart) whilst maintaining excellent customer service amongst the team
- Effective scheduling of the golf club food and beverage team (consisting of reporting hours worked to Food & Beverage Coordinator and inputting schedule into Watson)
- Provide motivation and support to all team members
- Coordinate food and beverage requirements for the tournaments
- Accurate food and beverage billing for groups and tours
- Participate in the training and coaching of new and existing team members and the Manager on Duty Program at the golf course
- Be health and safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
- Actively participate in Fairmont Chateau Whistler's environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations
- Perform any and all other tasks which are assigned by management
- Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times

**Your experience and skills include**:

- For Captain, two years leadership experience in a hotel restaurant or lounge is required
- For Server, previous serving experience is an asset
- Serving It Right Certification in BC, whilst being of legal age to serve alcohol
- BC Driver's licence
- Previous point of sale system experience required
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:
