Universal Properties Limited, is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Cook to be based at 100 Midland Drive, Dieppe, NB.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high quality food and ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation
- Take, cook and serve short orders quickly and efficiently
- Follow and cook recipes from scratch
- Deliver internal and external catering orders
- Assist with replenishment of kitchen supplies
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Clean equipment, surfaces and kitchen areas to standard practice expectations
- Adhere to Food Safety and WHMIS standards
- Assist the chef as requested

Qualifications:

- 2+ years in the food service industry
- Post-secondary education in the culinary field would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility regarding hours, duties and procedures
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work Monday-Friday day shift, and occasional evenings that could include special events
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment with multiple tasks and priorities
- A strong team player with a keen understanding of the importance of professionalism in a service-based position
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant and professional demeanor; helpful and flexible
- Ability to read, write and speak English at an advanced level
- Possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Food Safety Certification an asset
