As a Clinical Dietitian for the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program, you will be responsible for the nutritional assessment and management of ambulatory patients and inpatients. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Nutrition and the Manager of Paediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Care.

Primary responsibilities include the assessment of nutritional status/nutritional needs, and the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans to meet these needs in a patient and family centred model of care. To provide these services, the successful incumbent will collaborate with other health care providers and function as a key member of the intradisciplinary care team.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay: $39.16 per hour - $48.95 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Membership in Dietitians of Canada preferred
- Recent experience with paediatric eating disorder counselling preferred
- Demonstrated skills in patient education and ability to support the advancement of dietetic practice-based research and knowledge
- Ability to promote a high standard of professional practice by disseminating nutrition knowledge and information
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development related to best practice in clinical nutrition
- Proficient computer skills including word processing and data management software
- Ability to recognize own feelings, express them fully and constructively manage own feelings in challenging and emotionally charged situations
- Ability to express ideas clearly, confidently and directly and work through conflicts and differences in a respectful way
- Ability to stay effective and resilient when dealing with adverse circumstances and multiple demands
- Ability to demonstrate an optimistic disposition toward new experiences and change in general
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
