If you've never worked in Home Care before and don’t have training? That’s okay

Peak Form Health & Safety Academy, provides Personal Support Worker training to all Kindred Employees and will give you all the tools you need to work as a Home Support Worker.

The Peak Form program includes; a highly accessible earn and learn program and an innovative, mobile, hands-on lab

There is a cost for this program, however, Kindred will provide you with a training loan and payments can be deducted from your bi-weekly pay at $65.00 per pay.
- Personal Support Worker Certificate - The course takes approximately 54 weeks to complete and the total cost is $6,950.00

As a Home Support Worker you will work one-on-one with clients to provide non-medical assistance with tasks such as:

- Meal preparation
- Housekeeping
- Running errands
- Medication reminders
- Personal care (ie: personal hygiene, grooming, dressing)
- Companionship.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:

- Experience in food preparation and/or housekeeping is an asset
- Personal experience caring for seniors or individuals with special needs is an asset
- Satisfactory criminal record / vulnerable sector check, as well as a satisfactory background check through the NB Department of Social Development
- Pre-existing First Aid and CPR certification is an asset **(Kindred pays renewal fees)**:

- Must have a reliable source of transportation **(Kindred pays mileage - $.57 per KM, untaxed)**

The needs of people receiving in-home care can vary greatly, we can offer work schedules that work for you Daytime, evening, overnight and weekend hours, part-time or full-time hours are available.

L'Académie de santé et de sécurité Peak Form offre une formation de préposé aux services de soutien à la personne à tous les employés de Kindred et vous donnera tous les outils dont vous avez besoin pour travailler en tant que préposé aux services de soutien à domicile.

Le programme de Peak Form comprend un programme d'apprentissage très accessible et un laboratoire innovateur, mobile et pratique

Ce programme est payant, mais Kindred vous fournira un prêt de formation et les paiements peuvent être déduits de votre salaire bihebdomadaire à raison de 65 $ par paie.
- Certificat de préposé aux services de soutien à la personne - Le cours dure environ 54 semaines et le coût total est de 6 950,00 $. (Proposé en anglais uniquement pour le moment)

En tant que préposé aux services de soutien à domicile, vous travaillerez individuellement avec les clients afin de leur fournir une aide non médicale pour des tâches telles que
- préparation des repas
- l'entretien ménager
- Faire des courses
- Rappels de médicaments
- Soins personnels (c.à-d. hygiène personnelle, toilette, habillage)
- Accompagnement.

Qualifications, compétences et exigences:

- Une expérience de la préparation des aliments et/ou de l'entretien ménager est un atout.
- Une expérience personnelle dans les soins aux personnes âgées ou aux personnes ayant des besoins particuliers est un atout.
- Vérification satisfaisante du casier judiciaire et des secteurs vulnérables, ainsi qu'une vérification satisfaisante des antécédents par le ministère du Développement social du Nouveau-Brunswick.
- Un certificat de secourisme et de RCR est un atout **(Kindred paie les frais de renouvellement).**:
