The SOLO with Supports Program (SWS) is looking for a:
**Youth and Family Engagement Worker**

**Details**:SWS is a community-based program that assesses and teaches living skills and self-advocacy to teens who require extra supports as they move towards adulthood and supported independent living. Often youth in this program will transfer to the adult support system(s) such as Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD), and/or Adult Mental Health (AHS Programs and Services).

**Role**:The Youth and Family Engagement Worker supports clients in a relational way, to maintain a safe and positive environment, while supporting individuals with life skills, personal goals and social interactions. Duties include:
Ø Maintaining daily routines, in-home support services, transportation to and from day-programming/community appointments, facilitating recreational opportunities, client/family advocacy and assist families with adopting new parenting strategies.

Ø Support youth in the development of healthy relationships, emotional regulation, positive lifestyles, personal safety, time management, recreation, self-advocacy, education and vocational exploration.

Ø Administrative paperwork, contact notes, attending service team meetings, maintaining effective communication within the service team, collaborative and creative problem-solving and inclusion in the on-call emergency response rotation (after-hours).

Ø Relevant diploma or degree from an accredited college/university

Ø Minimum one year of experience in Human Services or Child and Youth Care

Ø Updated (within 6 months) Police Record Check (including vulnerable sector) and Child Intervention Record Check

Ø Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle

Ø Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status

**Salary**:$51,528 - $52728

**Benefits**:Extended Health and Dental (after 3 months of employment)
