Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Position Summary

Well-suited for a dynamic, quick learner who is composed under pressure, a creative thinker, and a confident communicator, this role requires strong social media preparation, implementation and evaluation aimed at maintaining and building our company and project brands and reputation. Based in Downtown Vancouver, this role may require some travel locally and within British Columbia from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

Project Marketing
- Participate in the creation of a vision that drives brand, marketing, media and sales strategies for residential communities with insight, ideas and innovation
- Build a positive rapport with our team and outside consultants (designers, media and other vendors)
- Assist in developing project timelines and marketing calendars; monitor both on an ongoing basis and update as required
- Create and monitor social media campaigns on multiple platforms on a daily basis
- Ensure project websites are up-to-date
- Obtain quotes from marketing consultants, coordinate project management details and prepare commitments
- Proofread all marketing materials (with approvals prior to production)
- Provide support in planning, executing and assisting at sales events
- Assist in the creation and closing of presentation centres
- Work with project sales teams to monitor the supply of marketing materials; order and arrange for delivery of additional materials as needed
- Maintain awareness of competitive residential developments by visiting competitors’ presentation centres and evaluating our own on-going positioning and competitive advantage
- Attend meetings with prepared agendas and supporting documents and provide reporting thereafter
- Maintain marketing files and materials
- Additional responsibilities and duties as required

Corporate Communications
- Support the overall corporate communications strategy for both external and internal audiences
- Adhere to corporate brand and style guidelines and ensure brand standards, corporate messaging and content standards are met and are consistent
- Assist in opportunities to build the company’s brand by generating digital content on a daily basis
- Monitor media and social media; post, repost and respond to comments on social media channels as required; ensure staff adherence to social media guidelines
- Coordinate with social media resources at external PR firm to populate and manage social calendar
- Evaluate and report on social media metrics to ensure effectiveness of channels and campaigns; with input from external PR firm provide channel and campaign recommendations
- Assist with other communication initiatives including bi-weekly employee e-newsletter, blog posts, monthly Blueprint newsletter, presentation decks, press releases, annual/quarterly reports, digital outreach, print collateral and special events, as required
- Support website management; post information to the corporate website and ensure it is up-to-date and accurate; support search and SEO updates
- Edit content and material produced by others
- Additional responsibilities and duties as required

Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant education (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) from a recognized post-secondary institution in Marketing/Branding, Communications, Journalism and/or Public Relations
- 1-2 years of Marketing or Communications experience (real estate experience an asset but not required)
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite with a willingness and interest to continue training to strengthen skills as required. Experience with Drupal and WordPress (or other content management system) an asset
- Strong social media experience/training with Meta (Instagram, Facebook), Twitter/X, LinkedIn is required, with knowledge of Hootsuite or other social media management platforms preferred
- Excellent image and video capture and editing/processing skills for multiple social media platforms and mediums
- Aptitude to learn other on-line marketing and communications tools as required relating to website updating, CRM software and other content creation
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to brand, voice, grammar, detail and accuracy
