The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented Supervisor to join our Starbucks Team.
This is a fast-paced position with constant customer interaction and cash handling. The wage rates $22.54 per hour, after six months the wage increases $26.29 per hour, and after one year the wage rate increases to $30.05 per hour.
**Goal of the Starbucks Supervisor**: To support** **the daily opportunities required by** **strong leadership and nourish the day-to-day operation of the hotel outlet. This position is also ultimately responsible for the quality of service provided.
**The Starbucks Supervisor’s Responsibilities may include**:
- Supports and supervises the hotel's Starbucks while working closely with the Food & Beverage managers and other hotel departments
- Assist in effective training, and development of the team
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Full understanding of Associate engagement
- Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance
Supervisors possess strong leadership, communication and relationship skills. They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic supervisory responsibilities. This role leads other associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training, scheduling, and providing feedback. The Starbucks Supervisors must demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge. This position plays a significant role in the overall outlet performance, which includes product quality and service standards.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and thorough understanding of beverage service
- Must be friendly, team player and service oriented
- Must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities
- Previous Starbucks experience is an asset
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year food service and coffee bar (barista) experience
- Must have Food Safe certificate
- Knowledge of Micros POS system and a second language would be beneficial
- Must be available for flexible shifts that range from 5:30AM - 9:30PM and work weekends and holidays
**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:
- Constant standing throughout shift
- Frequent walking throughout the shift
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 30lbs)
