Maintenance Worker (Level 1)

**Summary**

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead and the Assistant General Manager, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for repairing and maintaining the hotel’s assets and equipment to keep them in working order.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform preventive maintenance on the establishment’s facilities;
- Perform repairs to ensure guest comfort during their stay;
- Perform interior and exterior technical maintenance of the building;
- Carry out minor plastering, painting, carpentry, plumbing, lock, maintenance, and repair work;
- Shovel snow from sidewalks, access ramps, emergency exits, and entrances;
- Perform end-of-season maintenance;
- Remove, install, store, and maintain equipment for seasonal activities;
- Remove, dispose of, and store seasonal furnishings;
- Responsible for maintaining paint and carpets;
- Carry out minor renovation work, such as removing frames, installing cordons, and other tasks.

**Salary**

The salary for this position is $20.00 per hour and includes benefits and preferential rates at all hotels owned by the Tidan Group.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in building maintenance is an asset;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Available to work flexible hours—this position will work evenings and weekends
- Basic knowledge of electricity;
- Able to lift and move loads of 50 lbs or more;
- Demonstrates discipline and rigour in the execution of tasks;
- Shows initiative;
- Attentive to details and quality;
- Strong collaboration skills;
- Strong time management skills;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Able to demonstrate a customer-oriented approach;
- Able to identify customer needs.
