We are currently seeking Interns specializing in UX Research for a challenging experience based Internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship you'll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.

**What You'll Do**:

- Plan and conduct user research studies, including usability tests, interviews, and surveys.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research objectives and key user experience metrics.
- Analyze and interpret research findings to provide actionable insights for product improvement.
- Strategize our product position in the content ecosystem.
- Work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Champion user-centric design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in UX research.

**About You**:

- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in UX research, usability testing, and user interviews.
- Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Figma
- Passion for creating intuitive, accessible, and culturally inclusive user experiences.
- Ability to conduct usability testing with a focus on accessibility best practices and multilingual experiences
- Bonus: Familiarity with AI-driven interfaces and chatbot interactions.
- Bonus: Familiarity with interactive globe or map-based interfaces.

This is a full-time, paid internship with a minimum commitment of 3 months (520 hours). We do have some flexibility with possible Part-time placements providing it is to accommodate for academic responsibilities or visa restrictions but the total hours required remains the same. With flexibility comes increased responsibility to this and will require a higher concentrated effort in order to be current with projects, align with your team and to extract the value this internship is engineered to award. The compensation will be $32-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
