**POSITION TITLE**: Information Technology Support Technician

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**: Provide administrative support, to information systems activities and functions, and to end-users

**ACCOUNTABILITY**: Manager of Information Technology / Privacy and Security Officer

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Requirements**:

- Two-year college diploma in Information Technology or industry certification.
- 2 years of employment experience in a relevant field including experience in not-for-profit setting is preferred
- Well organized and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours (some evening and weekend hours may be required)

**Language**:

- Proficiency in both official languages would be considered an asset.

**Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated organization, planning & coordination skills
- Ability to deal tactfully with a diverse group of people internally and externally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Programing experience in PHP, Laravel framework and Java Script for WebForms programming.
- Experience with:

- virtual technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- terminal services and remote desktop servers
- Windows servers 2012, 2016, and 2019, SQL servers, Office 365
- Fortinet, firewall security fabric
- Demonstrate initiative when appropriate and is willing to learn new skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION**:
**- Develop, monitor and support virtual servers and workstations
- Inventory all devices
- Analyze overall Internet usage
- Create, maintain, and monitor backup of agency servers and agency data
- Ensure security and integrity of data, data systems, and data network across the entire organization
- Perform required updates and patches on hardware and software
- Provide end-user training, support, and IT orientation as required
- Review and maintain updated inventory of all systems
- Plan, test, and distribute all standard software fixes on all systems connected to the network
- Track restrict and control software to CMHA owned devices only
- Provide timely and informative reports as directed and requested by the Manager
- Enter and collect data relevant for program evaluation
- Participate in program development, improvement activities, and staff meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager
