**JOB SUMMARY**

Under the supervision of the Director of Procurement, the **Buyer** purchases goods and services to meet the company's needs. This person has the duty of optimizing results and respecting the company's budgetary objectives.

**YOUR MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE**:

- Analyze and control goods and services requests from various areas of the organization;
- Plan and analyze goods and services requirements;
- Identify and qualify goods and services suppliers;
- Negotiate and make purchases of goods and services for which they are responsible;
- Ensure that the standards and specifications for goods and services required by the company are met;
- Follow up on purchases and coordinate deliveries;
- Return merchandise;
- When required, make claims with suppliers;
- Analyze requests and quotes and identify potential suppliers;
- Request bids;
- Determine terms and conditions of contracts; recommend them their approval and award.

**THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on procurement, or a combination of experience and education deemed equivalent.
- Two (2) years in a manufacturing environment with experience in negotiating with suppliers;
- Knowledge of industrial processes is an asset.
- Bilingualism required.
