The Manitoba Print Industry Association Inc. (MPIA) is a non-profit industry-based organization created to attract and retain individuals into the printing industry in Manitoba. MPIA focuses on collaborative human resource development and training initiatives with employers, like-minded associations, government and educational partners to expand print industry training opportunities in

**The Position**:
The Association Manager acts as a professional advisor to the Board, helping to develop and follow annual strategic plans and informing the board of developments and issues that affect MPIA members. Operationally, the Association Manager is responsible for translating the strategic plan into operational goals and actions, coordinating all aspects of board and committee meetings including preparing agendas, supporting materials and meeting notes, overseeing training delivery per agreements with government, funders, members and other stakeholders and ensuring all funding reporting documents are completed and submitted in a timely manner. In addition, this position is responsible for preparing comprehensive annual budgets, researching funding sources and preparing funding proposals, securing adequate funding to meet the associations goals and budget and maintaining sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures. Lastly, as part of the print industry community, the Association Manager is responsible for keeping stakeholders informed of the work of the MPIA, representing the MPIA at promotional events and advancing public awareness and understanding of print industry trends, issues, careers and opportunities.

The Association Manager will also demonstrate:

- Creativity and innovation in setting goals, planning strategies to implement action plans, and building relationships with stakeholders;
- Organization in prioritizing, scheduling, tracking achievements, and recording data.

**Working Conditions**:
Employment is normally 20 hours per week. Hours could increase as association grows and establishes a funding model to support a full-time association manager. Office environment is home
- based with on-site activities occurring throughout the year. Remuneration dependent on experience and skill-set.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (required)
- Social media management: 1 year (preferred)
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
