Bookkeeper

Your role as a Bookkeeper is to maintain the financial records of the company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions.
**Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
- Allocate and post financial transactions
- Work on general ledger to transfer data and perform reconciliations
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Respond to client questions
- Perform data analysis and general financial reports
- Ensure company is complying with the relevant reporting requirements
- Prepare tax payments and assist with income tax preparation
- Assist with audits
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
**Education and Experience**
- Certification in Bookkeeping
- Knowledge of Bookkeeping practices
- Knowledge of Sage50 and Quickbooks
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements

**Salary**: $16.01-$25.80 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

- French not required

- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Aylmer, ON N5H 1L2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (required)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (required)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
