What you will do:
- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment
- Report to the Management Safety, Health & Security, and is accountable for the gathering of all site safety statistics and creating & distributing required safety reports.
- Compile & distribute monthly safety meeting materials.
- Monitor corrective action completions utilizing the ETQ data base system.
- Support compliance with data entry and some field components.
- Tabulate and monitor all Safety Standard requirements and provide monthly updates to person(s) responsible.
- Set files for yearly record keeping for Safety Standard stats
- Distribute safety department communications where applicable
- Manage JHA process and conduct audits on that process.
- Plan and coordinate site safety events
- Show commitment, promote, and participate fully in the Nutrien Safety System and Nutrien Corp.'s SHE performance.
- Maintain and continually build upon knowledge base for safety in the mining industry.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Grade 12 diploma required, additional education or training in a relevant field may also be considered
- Strong commitment to safety
- Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements.
- Experience in potash operations or industrial plant environment would be an asset
- Experience in safety and safety systems
