**Associate/Fitness Instructor**

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Bear Mountain Activity Centre (BMAC) is seeking motivated, customer-service oriented Fitness Professionals to join our team to create and deliver fitness programming in the role of Activity Centre Fitness Associate.

In this role, you will share your passion and enthusiasm for health and fitness with our community-based membership. You will create appropriate programming and will lead private, semi-private and small group fitness classes. As a Fitness Associate you will build rapport with our members, engage them with our available services and will immerse yourself into the BMAC culture. You will also perform the duties of an Activity Centre Associate which include but are not limited to supervising the weight room, maintaining a healthy and safe environment for the patrons, cleaning and maintaining equipment, reception duties and sales.

Minimum qualifications include:

- BCRPA Group Fitness Certification or equivalent (CSEP, NASM, ACE, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
- Current First Aid and CPR-C
- Current Criminal Record Check

**ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION**:
One of the largest resort communities in the country, Bear Mountain is located in an idyllic setting on southern Vancouver Island that combines pristine nature, highly civilized living and the country’s best climate. Positioned to become one of North America’s most enviable communities, Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort Community will grow to 10,000 residents over the next 10 years through its real estate development program.

A significant draw to the prestige of Bear Mountain is the unmatched amenity offerings. Home to Canada’s first and only 36 holes of Nicklaus Design golf, Bear Mountain stands apart as one of the finest golf resorts anywhere. The Bear Mountain Tennis Centre (BMTC) offers eight red clay courts organized in two sets of four court modules and the recently added Bear Mountain Activity Centre (BMAC) rounds out the amenity offerings. The day-to-day environment within the resort community is highly animated with guests, tennis, golf and BMAC members along with residents and vacationers using the amenities as a hub for socializing and relaxing.

Note that the successful applicant will be required to submit a current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen.

We offer competitive wages commensurate with experience. When instructing, you will receive a higher wage.

Full-time staff are eligible for a benefits package, and all staff may be eligible for special perks including complimentary employee golf, tennis and discounted BMAC membership fees.
