**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Infant Development Diploma, CYC, FNCYC or ECE diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Métis culture, traditions and contemporary issues affecting Métis peoples.
- Excellent organizational, record-keeping and case management skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse population including families, and other professionals, and other programs and resources, both internal and external to IMFCSS.
- Ability to act as role model for healthy lifestyle choices, and demonstrate respect for all people of all ages.
- Ability to maintain professional standards, boundaries and confidentiality to families.
- Ability to lift program equipment, toys and supplies for program delivery in various locations.
- This position requires a level of physical fitness associated with most of the workday being spent standing, walking, and/or sitting on the floor with children. Bending and stretching are also required.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving abstract and reliable transportation required.

**Experience**:

- One year recent experience in Infant Development or related field.

**Location**:

- At the office of Island Métis Family & Community Services Society, located at 345 Wale Road, Victoria, BC.

This position requires union membership. Hourly rate is $29.85 - $34.26, based on JJEP grid level 13 step 1, and governed by the current _Indigenous Services Collective Agreement_. Normal schedule of work is 35 hours per week, performed Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, may include other hours based on agency need.
