**What you will do**:
**How you will do it**:
- ** Team Development**:
- Design and implement training programs for technicians focused on the latest product technologies and capabilities in fire and life safety.
- Monitor and assess the skill development of technicians, providing feedback and additional training as needed.
- ** Code Compliance**:
- Stay updated on the latest code changes, adopted codes, and industry standards relevant to fire and life safety. Specifically related to Ontario, the Ontario Fire Code, and Ontario Building Code.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for technicians on current and upcoming code changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- ** Customer Training**:
- Provide educational sessions for customers regarding fire and life safety products, emphasizing compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Liaise with Authority Having Jurisdictions (AHJs) to discuss and clarify local code enforcement and compliance requirements.
- ** Reporting and Administration**:
- Report directly to the Service Manager, and the Install Manager on team progress, training effectiveness, and compliance issues.
- Assist with general business duties as required, including documentation, reporting, and coordination with other departments.
- ** Continuous Improvement**:
- Evaluate training programs and make recommendations for improvements to ensure they meet the needs of technicians and customers.
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous learning within the fire and life safety team.
**What we look for**
**Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in fire and life safety systems or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fire and life safety codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to train and develop technical staff.
- Familiarity with local and national code enforcement practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Valid C.F.A.A registration
- Advanced in Microsoft suite, specifically excel.
- Advanced knowledge of either fire alarm or PLC programming language and syntax.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
